Sheridan has a complete line of Basketball Backstops and Goals to suit any indoor or outdoor area. The backstops are available in several different styles and composition. Back boards are available in steel, glass or wood. The backstops can be wall mounted or ceiling suspended. They can be fixed, height adjustable or swing out of the way when not needed. Model S300 Fully Supported Centre Strut Suspended Backstop

The Centre Strut Style Basketball Backstop is engineered to meet the latest regulations of basketball. The centre strut is fabricated from 5″ diaameter heavy wall steel tubing, reinforced with 2 3/8″ diagonal sway braces. All stress applied to the goal is transferred to the centre strut reducing Glass Board fatigue. The support hangers are offset from centre, utilizing the weight of the unit to lock the backstop into playing position.

Model S300 shall be suspended from two horizontal pipes attached to roof structure by heavy duty clamps. Necessary bridging to be supplied and installed by structural contractor. The S300 Backstop is used where style is important. Supplied complete with regulation backboard, goal, no-tie net and 40:1 ratio worm and gear Safety Winch as minimum equipment.

Model S302 Ceiling Suspended Backstop

S302 is the most versatile model of Ceiling Suspended Basketball Backstop. Used in front of stages, mezzanines and windows, and over bleachers.

Model S302 shall be suspended from two horizontal pipes in parallel, and attached to the roof structure by heavy duty clamps. All Backstop Framing shall be of 2″ (50mm) square tubing. Finish shall be to specifications. Supplied complete with regulation backboard, goal, no-tie net and 40:1 ratio worm and gear Safety Winch as minimum equipment.

The S300 and S302 backstops can be upgraded with optional equipment such as the S340C Height Adjustable Frame, Model S384 Electric Winch or S370GR Rectangular Glass Board.

Wall Mounted

MODEL S330 Wall Mounted Swing-Up Backstop

The S330 comes complete with regulation Backboard, Goal and No-tie Net. Wall bolt anchors shall be installed by general contractor. This unit is used where backstop extension conflicts with game lines.

Model S330 consists of four 2″(50mm)square extension tubes with formed steel offset hinges. Backstop shall be suspended by two 1/4″ (6mm) cables and raised to folded position by worm and gear safety winch. This will be positioned away from the unit for safety. Available in sizes from 3’0″ to 8’0″ and can be equipped with an S340 Height Adjustable frame. It can also be equipped with electric winch.

MODEL S332 Fixed Wall Mounted Backstop

The S332 comes complete with Regulation Backboard, Goal, and No-tie Net. Available from 3’0″ (914mm) to 8’0″ (2438mm) extension.

Model S332 consists of four 2″ (50mm) Square extension tubes supported by two 1/4″ (6mm) guide wires. Wall bolt anchors shall be installed by General Contractor.

MODEL S337 Wall Mounted Side – Swing Backstop

The S337 is used where extension is over 4’0″ (1200mm) or where a heavy backboard is required. The unit comes complete with regulation Backboard, Goal and No-tie Net. Model S337 consists of four 2″ (50mm) square extension tubes plus two 1 1/2″ (38mm) square diagonal braces, a spring loaded locking mechanism and four formed steel hinges.Wall bolt anchors shall be installed
by General Contractor.

MODEL S338 Wall Mounted Practice Backstop

The S338 comes complete with regulation Backboard, Goal and No-tie Net. It consists of four 2″ (50 mm) square extension tubes welded to 2″x 4″ (5mm x 100mm) steel wall stringers. Wall bolt anchors shall be installed by general contractor.

MODEL S340 Height Adjustable Wall Mounted Practice Backstop

The S340 consists of four 2″ (50 mm) square extension tubes and 1.9″ (49 mm) slide tubes. This unit comes complete with regulation Backboard, Goal and No-tie Net. Wall bolt anchors shall be installed by General Contractor

MODEL S340C Height Adjustable Frame

The Model S340C height adjustable frame can be fitted as an added feature to all basketball units. With the turn of the winch handle the hoop can be lowered or raised from 8’0″ to 10’0”. This unit is compatible with all Sheridan basketball units.

Model S370A (1750) Fan Shaped Cast Aluminum

Fan shaped cast aluminum backboard reinforced on reverse side. 38mm thick with hard wearing powder coated finish.

Model S370G (FSG11) Fan Shaped Glass Backboard

Shaped tempered glass board, set in extra heavy, welded steel frame. Meets all YMCA and NBA specifications.

Model S370GR (LXP4200) Rectangular Glass

Tempered plate glass backboard, set in extra heavy welded steel or aluminum frame assembly. Cushioned to absorb impact, manufactured to meet all NBA and NCAA specifications.

Model S370S (1266) Fan Shaped Steel Backboard

12 gauge deep drawn steel backboard, reinforced channel construction with hard wearing powder coat finish.

Model S370W Fan Shaped Wood Backboard

Made from 3/4″ plywood with cross bracing, this unit is relatively noiseless, and has uniformly solid rebounding surface. White enamel hard wearing finish.
